The KLUX format utilizes recognized principals of radio broadcast audience maintenance and recycling to attract and maintain a large and loyal listenership in the Adult 35+ age demographic. The non-commercial format of the station generates a feel and sound, which is not unlike that of a commercial competitor. The music of great artists such as Montovani, James Last, Ray Coniff and Frank Pourcel are mixed with contemporary artists such as Steve Wonder, Phil Collins, Celine Dion, Barbara Striesand and others to generate an easy listening sound which is relaxing and warm. Audience research indicates that very often the station is able to generate listening spans in excess of 10 hours, an accomplishment which is quite extraordinary in today's fast paced world. KLUX is Good Company.
Sunday Morning Programming on KLUX is available in both Spanish and English. The Spanish Language programs are designed to deal with issues, both family and community, from a Catholic perspective that is uniquely Hispanic in origin.
The programs aired in English accomplish the same basic tasks of informing the listeners of what is happening in the Catholic Church, what is new in the Vatican and how Catholicism affects each of us in our daily lives.
